Do you provide home care services for someone in a hospital, nursing home or assisted living facility?Yes, we offer our care services in any setting where your loved one resides, including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and rehabilitation centers, in addition to private residences.

Do you only offer long-term care, or are there short-term care options?We offer both short-term and long-term care, tailored entirely to your needs. Our care plans aren't based on time limits, but on the level of support you require. We'll work with you to create a personalized plan, whether it's for a few hours or ongoing assistance.

Do I have to sign a contract locking me into specific services?No, you're not locked into a rigid contract. Our service agreement is designed to be flexible. As your needs evolve, so will the services we provide. We're here to adapt and ensure you always receive the appropriate level of care.

We ensure you're fully informed through regular caregiver logs, detailing both physical and emotional well-being, and proactive updates from our team. How will I get matched with the right caregiver for my needs?We take matching you with the right caregiver very seriously. All our caregivers undergo comprehensive background checks and are fully bonded and insured. We then carefully match caregivers based on your specific care plan, schedule, skills, and personality to ensure the best possible fit.

How long does it take to be assigned a caregiver?We recommend calling us for a free assessment as soon as possible. This allows us to create your personalized care plan and match you with the best available caregiver. We understand urgent situations arise, and we strive to provide a caregiver as quickly as possible, even for immediate needs.

What if I have a concern and need to speak with someone after business hours?We provide 24/7 support. You can reach our team any time, day or night, for questions or concerns.

Will my medical insurance help cover the cost of in-home care?Contacting Golden Companions is a great place to start when you’re researching options on how to cover the cost of in-home care services. Our team can guide you, or the policyholder, on what questions to ask your insurance carrier regarding available coverage. There are several Long-Term Care insurance providers who offer full or supplemental reimbursement benefits for home care services. It’s important to know the questions to ask and we’re here to help.

Will my Medicare or Medicaid help cover the cost of in-home care?Medicare Advantage plans may offer some coverage for non-medical in-home care, but it varies by plan. Medicaid coverage is determined by financial need. As these programs are complex, we recommend contacting us directly for personalized guidance.

How does the billing and payments work?Our billing and payment procedures will be fully explained during your service agreement setup. We offer various payment options, including major credit cards and electronic funds transfer. Please note that payments must clear at least one day prior to the start of your home care services to ensure uninterrupted care.
